Had My Duty, so I Do’d It

We touched down at Columbia Metropolitan Airport at 2:10. My brother came to pick us up and take us home, and Vicki and I were at the polling place by 3:00. By 4:30, we were driving home. That’s not bad for being a part of the process.

I’m amazed at how long people have to wait to cast their vote in the US.
Here in Australia we’re usually in and out within five minutes.

  2. Rick says:

This was the longest I’ve had to wait in line. It’s all about turnout – with twice as many machines, might’ve gone faster. But otherwise, it’s a fun problem to have.

  3. Mr. Harmless says:

I couldn’t believe the wait either. I only had to wait about 10 minutes, but everybody else I knew was waiting 1 to 2 hours.
Looks like you had a bit of a line.
